Building a bund, whats the regs?
« on: July 17, 2013, 12:19:18 PM »
I had a problem with the neighbour and dead rat = serious ill dog.

Ive sorted that part out.

but neighbour wants me to stop doing oil, i could do it at my lock up but its 10 mile away and my dad uses it too.

so i dont wanna bubble off meth and for him to come in and get poisoned.

So im going to make my shed a bund and only keep the oil that I need here and keep the excess at my lock up.

so the plan is line my shed with sheet steel, plywood and put down this huge MOD rubber/pvc sheet that was given then line the inside with more ply creating a bund  will this conform to the regs on bunds?

I have a settle/bubble tank which will be outside, and ive been given a oil drum which i am going to cut the top off and put my 120lt inside it. I was thinking of using tank cons to pass the pipes the out 205 drum is that acceptable?

for what you want, don't bother with a bund, it's hard to do in a shed you'll be walking in and out of flexing it - it'll start to keak after a while

how big is your shed ?

you're better off getting an IBC and cutting it in half - they'll give you 2 bunds covering 1mx1m each and they'll hold 500 liters each no problem :-)
