BBB 2013 photos
« on: July 07, 2013, 08:42:11 PM »
You all love a few photos - though not many of you took some this year!

Chug gets the Lister running after sitting in a field unloved for a year.

Yours truly wearing Rob's joke shop glasses!

M67 army heater on biodiesel, bringing water to the boil (plus a bit of soap to clean the drum up with).  Thanks for the suggests that I should hop in for a bath (nonsense, I've been "drywashing" and that works fine... right?)

Stephen's ingenious air burner, that appears to burn pretty much anything flammable.

The Womble was the only one brave enough to try the burner on Methanol. Not quite as fur singeing as we expected!

Glycerol, burning with a nice Sodium coloured flame.

Tash baked some genius cakes up this year - inspired!

Some dubious looking characters here. Cards and fake cash at the ready!

Tonight we play - for 120 litres of finest oil!

Sawdust and Sawdust Glycerol burners - the Glycerol one (closest) is probably still burning.

Tron and RM look on sceptically at the jury rigged atomising water boiler.  What's the worst that can happen?

A little bit of worry at the bottom of the kettle surviving the intense heat. The steel is glowing a bit...

Tea made from water boiled using my biodiesel. Very tasty - yum!

Vince's patio heater going a treat!

Spray nozzle burner, patio heater, sawdust burners and glycerol gasification.

They don't make a diesel KA,
I did explain to Marly (chug's daughter) that it ran on devil juice and this was jusst not exepable,
but she didn't care.
I couldn't say too much due to one of our own turning up in a petrol mondao,
in my mind this is the person that should have had threats of persicution not me.
Skoda Yeti L&K 2L TDI 150 CR DPF Adblue, running pimp diesel.
VW Golf SV 1.4 TSI DSG.

Those wombles are surprisingly hard to set light to, as it turns out!  Even if they are holding cans of Methanol.

Here goes...

Friday night curry

Cooking on the fire of course

Who knows what Chunder is thinking - maybe wondering what Womble would taste like in there?

Vince and one of his many containers of cider - I think that is 'Man cider' rather than 'Girly cider' next to him

Tash's Hazchem cupcakes

A pretty full field this year - must have been the weather

The emperor handing ponders his next answer

Well it just had to be done

Vince's bio powered patio heater

And the other side of the tube after a meeting with Jim's plasma cutter - I think there is going to be a sudden interest in plasma cutters on eBay now....

Beer can pulse jet anybody

Oddly enough, it didn't come up to expectations

A gathered crowd around the burn anything nozzle

Burning a strange substance that Steve called diesel (before the blast tube can was added)

But biodiesel was better - a rather intense flame with a blue core - seriously hot (and blurred due to the brightness - sorry)

A pretty impressive flame on waste motor oil (I think)

This was one of the best BBB's ever due to the fact that more people took on board the ethos of the event and mucked in and helped out with tidying rubbish, washing up etc, which makes it much more relaxing for us.

Special thanks to Tash for the curry and cakes, Rosie (Mrs tron) for the wonderful chillis, Vin for the delicious cider and novel burner and Steve for the flame and heat devices and to everyone who brought stuff to give away, share or demo thank you, this is what it's all about.

Roll on the next one!

Now lets have some pictures!
