Panick Situation this morning petrol in my house!
« on: July 04, 2013, 06:01:48 AM »
Hi all

just had a real scare, my alram has gone off for work and im sort of awake, but as soon as i open my eyes im lay in bed thinking i can smell petrol! hmmm must be dreaming i guess, then as i start to wake up more im thinking crikey that is petrol and it stinks like hell very very strong i cant breathe, all sortys go through your mind like kids chucking petyrol through ya letter box or something, ive jumped out me bed and im like where the frick is that smell coming from, ive slung all doors open to get the fumes down, i got to bottom of stairs and the fumes are worse and low and behold its over the floor in the hallway. but its not kids (bless there little cotton socks butter wouldnt melt in there mouths) my genny decided to start leaking so i slung it out the front door.

closer inspection dripping from air filter sponge, prolly float stuck???

but crikey funny how a smell can make you panick for safety! and allsorts go through your head....

Glad you are OK could have been really nasty. Know what you mean about the thoughts that go through in a situation like that, I had time to wonder if my end had come when I was attacked by that cow.
