I'd quite like to make it a little less dry by adding a pic of the Glycerol being slurped back in or something.  I'll take some pics next time I do a batch - trouble is there isn't much to see.

Maybe I can take two samples during processing, and compare side by side in a pic so the relative amounts of settled glycerol can be seen at the ends of stage one and stage two.

I used to do a 3/27 at the end of the first stage, just out of interest.  I don't bother any more, but a photo of a 3/27 at the end of the first stage compared to one at the end of the second might give some visual value.

Ah, interesting idea.  I'm quite curious as to the results of that too.

Another point, we have a mix of 27/3 and 3/27 references in the wiki, I'd like to make them consistent.

I've always called it a 27/3, but I see the original infopop thread calls it 3/27.

Also, googling "27/3 test biodiesel" returns 100k hits and "3/27 test biodiesel" returns 167k hits.

So I'd be tempted to adjust my personal lexicon and make 3/27 the wiki standard if that's OK with everyone else?

So it's more popular to call it 27/3 in the UK.

No it's not!  I've always known it as a 3/27 test and have only noticed it being called 27/3 in the last few months.  What ever we decide I think we have to keep a constant standard.  Being a stubborn old sod, I'd go for the former, it's what it started out life as.


 Also it's not an issue, but isn't it easer to write a link [[titrate|Titration]], than add redirects for each variant?  Or is there some other cunning reason I've missed?

Yes, I keep looking at that page and thinking I should get my finger out, but I'm just really busy with "stuff" at the moment.  Works slow, so I should have a bit of time, it's just that "stuff" keeps getting in the way.  Can't work out how I fitted "stuff" in when I had a proper job!

I'll make a separate post so no one's double working, but I'll shortly have a bash at the venturi and eductor pages.  I want to make an eductor for my plant, so I'll do a step by step photo guide to accompany the text.

Also in the middle of making a multi function 20 litre drum warming come fat melting come static dewatering come 40 litre preheat tank.  So I'll do a page on that too once the "stuff" is out the way!

I'm surprised so much glycerol was present in the second stage sample - the few times I've done it before I've done stage two and just had a few spots of glycerol drop out, nothing like that much.
