Web hosting? (my existing host is going from bad to worse!)

I currently have my collections site hosted at 000host, and, half the time, images don't load, etc. etc.

Unfortunately, i shifted my work site to them last year also, so im more motivated than otherwise to change hosts.


Can anyone recommend anywhere?  If i do a google search, about a million options come up!


What would be ideal for me would be to pay for one virtual server, that i can host multiple sites on.  Of course, free is better, but id rather pay for something that works, than get something that doesn't for free!

I use names123 and have done for many years. Good service but touch wood I have never had a problem.
They are based in worcester.

my local weather station uses 1 and 1 and has done for years. he hasn't had any problems as far as i know.

My sites were down entirely a while back, so i submitted a support ticket.  They said they had DDOS attacks going on, targeting server #48, which, it seems, are where my sites are hosted.
Possibly yours are on a different box?

The sites are up at present, but if, for example, i post pictures hosted on them to a forum, or ebay, etc. half the time people complain that theyre not loading for them.

have spoken with both 123 and 1 and 1 on the phone today.  trying to convince myself to spend 3x as much on 123 to get someone in this country answering the phone...
