Hey John, welcome.

Processor size is a funny one - at the start you won't want to commit 100s of litres of oil to a batch in case it goes wrong, but ultimately the larger the batch you make the less time you have to spend doing it.  So everyone starts small and upgrades.  You might find it sensible to get/build a decent sized processor but start using it with small batches until you get more confident.

As for oil, how much diesel do you currently use a week?  If you can match that in collections then you're good to go.

Welcome!

Keep collecting oil, it's getting more and more difficult to acquire.  Just concentrate on the area to your West ... you know, Heathrow way.

Do you have a processor yet?  If not you could play with some Dr Pepper tests.  It's a good way to start as you learn things from scratch.

I'd start with a big (ish) system, say 150 to 200L batches,
if setup right you can still do 1/2 batches, it's not a lot more money to build a big reactor than a small one.
If you start small you'll end up wanting a bigger one sooner or later (it's a man thing).

But the biggest thing to remember is, oil collection is to be done to the West, around 10 miles from you.

If you end up with more oil than you need, we I will help by removing it FOC.
