I was on a forum and Adrian flux approach in the same way.
But when he couldn't offer cheaper insurance he disappeared and never answered any questions.

They have policies for certain vehicles and activities that are cheaper than your bog standard car cover. Lots of import 4x4 owners get cheaper insurance with them, specially if the trucks have mods.
These policies are not meant for normal drivers and have certain conditions, ie low annual mileage, belonging to an owners club,  not having had more than 1 accident in the past, you earn no no claims with these policies nor do you get cover if you use another car etc....

Unfortunately they could not find my truck on their data base, even though its had 6 (yes six) previous UK owners on the V5 since 2004 and Euro car parts site recognises my reg........

Having considered this further, I think it might cause more problems than it will solve despite being a long standing customer of the aforementioned company.

Thumbs down from me.

I see no real benefit from this, yes one maybe two members will find it's a good policy for them,
however if they did a quick search and joined the right club they could still get the same deal.

Thanks for the input guys.  You've cemented our opinion in favour of turning them down.

from what i see nowadays most change companies every year to get cheaper quotes from sites like compare the meer kat . com .

keeping the same company year after year seems to get very expensive.

@ greasemonkey, i too use a local company which i think arnt in search engines compare sites they are called CALEB ROBERTS if you dont use these give them a try for a quote, they have 3 offices and i think 1 by you... they come out cheaper.

even got a learner driver on my policy...

I used to use Caleb Roberts. I had a constant battle to stop them stitching me up.

Now I use Rees and Co and Hereford. Not that they are really local brokers, but the guy who works there is local to me, and I know him.
