Bad day
« on: February 27, 2013, 08:27:46 PM »
It started when I ran out f fuel on the way to work, my fault, I knew I only had just under 1/4 of a tank,
but figured it's not that cold (+3) so the saddle tanks shouldn't cause a problem.
Well I was wrong.
I ended up walking 1.5 miles to a tax station, paying over £15 for a gallon can and some, some, er, tax juice.
got to work in the end, only 3/4 of an hour late.

Had a bad day at work, manager on a training cause so it's all down to me as I'm the supervisor.

Left work happy I'm now off for 4 days, haft way home I realised I forgot to leave the keys with security,
so turned around and dropped the keys off, as I was leaving the yard I must have drove over a nail,
I could hear the dreaded tick, tick, tick as I drove down the duel carage way, nowhere safe to stop for a mile or so.
As I got close to where I could stop the ticking stopped, and changed into that dreaded flapping sound.

So I've had to change the wheel on one of those police only ramps at the entrance the the airport,
after unloading the oil I collected last night so I can get to the spare.

I now have a totally F'd winter tyre as I was on the rim for way too long.

So with this in mind please forgive me if I sound a bit off tonight.

Rant over, for now.

A very large malt whisky will cure it.

I feel for you Mark.. nothing worse than one of "those" days.

Hope your few days off are more relaxed and with better luck.

Thanks mate, I'm more peed off about the tyre, although the tax juice did smart a bit.

This nail is about 20mm in from the edge, and the sidewall is well stuffed from driving on it.

Thanks for the offer mate, but mine are 205/60/16's.
I have the summer tyres that were removed to fit these, so it's not a Major problem.

One of those days when you wished you'd never got out of bed.

Tax station and tyre in one day, that is annoying. Maybe you're just getting all the bad luck over with in one go?
