At present I'm using 25L of meths, 800g NaOH for the first stage,typically around 3ml dropout in 10/906L meths and 300g second stage200L batch that's prewashed with meth laden gly.

Clearly with less meth in each batch less was getting carried over in the glyc. The same goes for the Lye being reduced batch by batch.It stands to reason if we are reducing meth and lye by perfecting the reaction the glyc is ending up with less excess lye and meth.
