Title: Improvement on the standard diffuser?

The tap on our lovely, half installed and much moaned about kitchen is fitted with an aerator.  For the uninitiated, these entrain air into the water flow and reducing the flow and saving the planet.  They also dramatically reduce splashing when the water flow hits the bottom of the sink, and besides, the fizzy water just feels nice.

Anyway, more interested in bio than finishing the kitchen, what if this were fitted to the outlet pipe of a diffuser?  It would reduce splashing ... I know K.H has complained of splashing in the past, and by entraining air into the flow should increase the surface area before hitting the diffuser.

They should be good for around 60°C as they're designed to operate with hot water.  Different viscositys may prevent them from operating correctly, and I've no idea if they would be bio/veg compatible, but it might be worth a try.

I'm not entirely sure how it entrains air into the water?  Does the air go up the sides and is then somehow introduced?

If it works for bio/oil it would be a bloody good way to dry/demeth it.  Imagine that in a processor headspace during demething.

Looks like it sucks air around the inner ring and enters through the slots,should be easy enough to make one esp after Julian takes close ups of the one he,s buying for the good of us all ;D,generous guy that Julian

Didn't think of putting it in the processor.  But isn't that just doing what the venturi is supposed to do?

What we need is an enterprising member with a BIG pump, a bolt on flange on the processor and a condenser, who can rig up several on a new flange all discharging into the ullage space.

I have a bigish pump (110lpm) but no bolt on flange, although I could pipe it up to my storage/preheat drum,
however time to build and test it is allways a problem.
