Really rough bio, the greasemonkey way.......
« on: April 05, 2014, 04:24:05 PM »
I got this bio malarkey sussed now.
30 litres of lightly used palm, heated on a gas burner to 80c.
Transfer to reactor tank, dump in 6 litres of methanol, and 600ml of ASM, and let her circulate for an hour and a half.
Drain glyc.
Dump into a 25 litre, plus a bit in another can.
Stick in bubbler for 8 hours and leave to settle for a few days.
It's soapy.........

It's probably only partly converted, I don't even want to know. It's liquid, and seems to be staying liquid.
I'll put it through a J cloth, and into the truck.
It better like it........

I think you're overcomplicating things.  Have you met craigggy?

Just a few gems to look out for ....

"Muslim cloth."

"Grisol."

"The water is too flat."

"If it bursts into flame, you know you've gone too hot."

"If I pull that element out now, it'll burst into flame, it'll burst into flame. And if that busts into flame, all the oil might burst into flame, so I'm not even going to show you ... I have done it of course!"

Oh, no!!!

I checked the first video when I posted, but now youtube is saying all three are not available.  If they've been removed that's criminal, the guy was an absolute star.

Edit ... Don't know what happened but I've found alternative ULR for his videos and edited the above post ... should work OK now.

Aye, all pulled. I had seen a few of them. Maybe he finally blew himself up.

Just to add, I turn the gas off, before I add the chems. I'm not that addled, yet.
Obviously, once the chems are in, there is no more heating it over the gas, so it does what it does.
About as safe as it can be, really.

That is soooo funny. He's got exactly the same slightly deranged, interbred look on his face as one of my neighbours, and he talks the same as well.
Knew it all about bio, till he looked round my setup, and has never mentioned it again. Think it must have blown his mind, or frightened the living daylights out of him.

Just looked through a few of his other videos.

This guy is an out and out diamond.  I vote we club together to cover the air fare and invite him to the BBB.

Just imagine this round the fire ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEjaX01ke5E

Would that I were as happy as he appears!

You gotta hand it to him, he definitely ain't shy.
Would you drink this, after he made it? He probably put methanol in, instead of water.

I have to admit to being the best part of half way through a bottle of red, but I've been sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks.

Trying to work out the relevance of the background pictures to the song, whilst not being scared by the demonic, pixelated eyes staring at you ... this man is a true star.

Ahh, but I can't sing like he does.
This all for the want of a working central heating burner. I'll get one sooner of later.
Actually, this last batch is looking remarkably good.

Mr Greasemonkey sir.

You can brew up any old bio shite which is partly converted and filled with monoglycerides and soap and whatever else can go wrong with a batch.

But get all the Methanol out by distillation or bubbling aplenty, and leave for at least two weeks, and what you will end up with will almost certainly sustain a rotary injected IDI engine for as many miles as you wish.

Do not hurry this process and it will work out in the end.

On this you must trust me.  That is all.
