45lpm pond pump will be fine.
You would get away with an aquarium pump, it'd just take a bit longer.

In the future if you get a small amount of dropout in the 90/10 just let it run a little longer,
this will normally push it to a full convertion.

Your transit will still run on this bio (as will most cars)

Well done for getting this far on your first batch   8)

By the time I had taken a sample, let the glyc drop. and done the 10/90, I reckon the second stage had had at least another 20 minutes of circulating, so could well have converted any remaining.

After reheating the bio, the 10/90 was showing around 3ml as oppose to two ml last night. Probably I just didn't read it very accurately last night.

I'll see what I can get in the way of a pond pump then. Should be able to get something reasonably priced around town tomorrow. Don't really want to have to wait for one off ebay.

Ah, yeah, I'll leave it in the processor then. It'll give a chance for the glyc to drop out really well. Like you say, its not going to go solid.

Syringe can stay where it is too, flipping thing.....

Would something like a pond pump be ok for bubbling, something around 45 litres a minute, or is that to much? An aquarium pump seems a bit to small.
I'll probably just drill some holes in some pipe for the bubbler, rather than buying an airstone.

dont pond pumps need to pump water? air wont pump

i got a pond pump here you could have,

Pond aerator pump, rather than a water pump. For blowing bubbles into the bio, to get the Methanol off.
They stick them in Koi ponds and that, where oxygen levels are critical.

If I had a good supply of liquid oil, I may have just stayed on veg. As it is my oil is good solid, or thick liquid with half fats.
And like the criminal lying under Dirty Harrys Smith and Wesson, I just gotta know.............

Oh well, I've drained it into cans.
got about a third more glyc, so what I would have expected really, based on the 10/90 result.

I went out just to have a late night fondle of the processor, and could see a tiny drip coming from one of the unions. Could just have been condensation, but I wasn't happy leaving it all night.

One tiny drip on a new build is a good result, again, well done that man.

I should say still one tiny drip. I had a bit of a leak in the union at the bottom of the reactor, where I had basically over tightened the compression fitting. That is where it looks as though it is coming from now. It's suprising how much will come out of a tiny weep in a few hours.
I also had a pin hole in the solder on the heater flange, so had to basically resolder the whole thing. Glad I did it really, coz I've got  a lot more solder on it now.

Just demething now, using the diffuser in the heating tank. Far from ideal, but judging by the smell coming off, it must be doing something.

Stay up wind of the reactor, you don't want to be breathing that stuff.

I think I might go and turn it off. There is very little breeze, and I keep getting a whiff of it.
Might just have to wait till another day.
