***1st batch produced today***
« on: February 15, 2011, 06:34:22 PM »
Finished my 1st batch today having finished the washing process and thoroughly dried out the fuel. Put 20Litres into half tank of mineral into my car tonight so hopefully things will go well. Once the 20Litres have gone I will add further Bio at a less dilute ratio. Fingers crossed.

Congratulations, just to increase the sense of achievement be sure to drive back and forth passed a filling station with a smug look on your face and watch people filling their cars!

Excellent!  Do you have a spare fuel filter to hand just in case?

Going to just change the filter after first 500 miles and then again 500 miles down the line.

no point changing filters if it isn't due to be changed, or blocked, if it aint broke an all that! keep it for if and when it does block.

I think I have started off a new craze as everyone I have spoken to loves the idea of making and using Biodiesel. Friend in work wants to try some of my bio and wants to know if he too is OK to run Biodiesel in his car. He has a 06 Focus 1.8 TDCI. What do you all think.
