Had the M class getting hard to start, letting air in when parked so needing fuel cranking through to run.  Ended up replacing every single flexible fuel hose, which seems to have fixed it.  There was one spot where fuel was evidently dripping out a very small amount when standing.  Trouble is it's possible to get leaks that let air in but not fuel out.

Hope you have some success finding your problem.
