will a 50/50 test work on Dino.
Am in spain at the moument and my friend has been filling his 2006 land cruiser in a independent filling station with holding tanks that are at least 25 years old.
its now in garage needed, Delphi pump recon, injectors overhall, pipe lines cleaned and removal of tank and cleaned.
the filters had very fine copper coloured fillings that had made its way into injection sys and did the damage.
I did a 50/50 test on the dino that was in the fuel tank and it was very cloudy.
I have advised him to fill up in the new bp station that has just opened.

I doubt it will show anything with diesel, its works with bio because of soap being soluble in water, diesel will float on water so I doubt it will mix well, and what do you discover if it is cloudy, it could be anything.

I'd be more concerned about where the copper coloured fillings came from, and get that changed before they get into the new bits.
It may have come from the fuel, but that should be easy enough to test. It may have come from something amiss in the fuel system though. Like a tank pump, if there is one.

all the pipe work has been cleaned and tank and fuel pup thats inside tank. the pump had a filter that was also clogged with the copper lookink fillings.
have also replaced the fuel filter housing and priming pump.
