Title: The 24 hour cubie to tank method.

 Away for the weekend, on Thursday I had no fuel left and was going to do a batch of veg.

 Started to filter it, the jcloth fell to bits so decided to do a batch of bio.

 Sieved 40 litres of poor oil, made up to 105 with good stuff. Up to temp then left for a wee half hour.

 Meanwhile, mixed 20 litres methanol with 800g KoH (the 65 litres normally titrated at 0.2 to 0.3).

 Drained off 5 litres, added methoxide and let circulate for 2 hours then settled for an hour.

 Done a 10/90 and had 1ml of dropout. I've put that in the wifes CRD before and this was for the Audi so didnt bother with a second stage. 

 Started water washing, after around 5 x 20 litres, there was no visible soap between the water and the bio so done 1 more wash then dried overnight. The water washings done with a hose connection (takes about 5 mins to add 20 litres), not a mist head.

Switched off at 7 am and left to settle till half 1. Drained about a litre (it went clear) then pumped through a 10 micron into the car.

Hi soupstone
Have you had a look at the titrated  water wash you should be able to wash you fuel with one neutralisation stage and one clean water stage. This helps keep the temp up so drying is much quicker also.

 Just had a look through, will give it a go next batch. Anything that saves time and energy is a good thing.
