help please. got some new isopropanol today to make some titration solution anyway mix up the solution and it turned cherry red why?
how I did it was to mix 25mils isopropanol and 5mils of turmeric

it can turn acidic - look up "blanking" the titration (im sure its in the wiki somwhere)

Likewise (but not every time) -

Titration to adjust s1 chem + 2 stage no titration method = reduced chemical usage

...unless your feedstock never changes.

Getting low on ASM and too high on NaOH.  Not keen on no titration as with my set up, mixing small quantities of NaOH is a pain in the bottom.

The little ASM I have left I'm keeping lest I have to reprocess, it's easy to mix that in small quantities.

I know I do most things just to be perverse, but there's good logic behind this one.  Have to say the yield is noticeably pants, and Frankenpump has now made two very serious emulsions when pump washing ... never used to happen with ASM.
