I've been having reel problems with an emmulsion on this batch,
the reaction didn't go well, oil still damp I think, but got a full convertion in the end.
I did my normal water prewash, but the first wash turned into an emmulsion,
so I added 20L of gly but it still didn't split.
Acid slit it in the end, but an emmulsion formed on the next wash,
I used heat to split this but didn't get a compleat split.
Today I did a 50/50 on the bio that had split and it's clear, but I still have 20 of emmulsion that I drained (it's sat in a drum),
but I still lost around 40L down the drain.
So what I want to know is how is it still forming an emmulsion with very little soaps pressent ?
It's my normal feed stock so nothing different there.
During this time I've done another batch that has so far washed fine (second wash is settling now).

I had an emulsion on the last batch, the cause was me not thinking about what I was doing ... put too much water into the 7% wash. First complete emulsion I've had. Conc. sulfuric cured it but I was surprised at how much it took to break it.
I don't think the batch was particularly soapy.
Probably doesn't help you, but at least you know you're not the only one!

I've been doing 10% prewash for some time now and not suffered at this stage (even with my prblem batch).
I just add about 7L of the first stage gly back in, as I don't get much gly from the second stage.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - in two weeks time you will have far greater things to worry about.
Maybe you should disclose the location of your plant so we can go and fight over the spoils once Saturday's sacrifice has been completed.

Last wishes, yes, can I marinate myself with copious amounts of alcohol beforehand.
No you can't have the bolts, they're on my wifes car.
Vultures, you lot are just Vultures.

Give him the bolts and your wife ... you won't need either for much longer.

He may want the bolts, but my wife ?
