I just sent Paddy a mesage saying his forum was down, he said ok he will have a look, so I guess it's not scheduled maintenance especially as there was no heads up about it.

Sounds like the forum isn't closing its mysql connections in a timely manner and this has exceeded the maximum allowed open at once on the mysql server, or it's just sheer demand, in which case the host needs to wind up their max_connections setting

All fixable!

Don't think it's a server move. I think Paddy probably just renamed the forum directory to stop people overloading the mysql server while a fix is found. Everyone has hosting problems from time to time, VOD is no exception, I'm sure it'll be back up soon.

Sorta up, I can see the "We're back" post title but when I try to read the thread I get "The system has failed to process your request. If you're an administrator, please set the DEBUG flag to true in config.php."

On the upside though, just back from the MOT centre, the Delica passed! Not bad for 18 years old.
