VOD gone for good?
« on: April 04, 2024, 10:15:21 AM »
Normally it runs out of bandwidth 2 or 3 weeks into each month & comes back to life on the 1st of every new month to repeat the cycle.

This month it stayed dead on the 1st & AFAIK that hasn't changed.

VOD RIP?

Yeah I looked on Tuesday and was surprised to see the bandwidth error already, if Paddy wasn't such a wankhero it would still be running, he has resisted all attempts to let someone take it over and this is the result, RIP VOD indeed.  ::)

Judging by the level of activity on here I'd say biopowered isn't far behind VOD.

I guess Veg and Bio are a dying art with that new fangled electrickery and HVO stuff.
We need to work out how to make HVO at home to become trendy again

... to become trendy again

I resent the implication I was ever trendy!

Have noticed that the bandwidth exceeded notification has been replaced by a not found message.  Guess this means it's finally been buried or cremated and is alas no more.

VOD may, or may not be dead, but in it's prime was completely bizzing with info and banter.
I spent 10 years running veg/bio and met a lot of people that I still consider friends even though I only see them once a year.

I personally think the demise of veg/bio is more to do with the work involved in collecting and making, less compatible veg cars around (and those that are about sell for good money), plus all this low emissions crap.
Skoda Yeti L&K 2L TDI 150 CR DPF Adblue
VW Touran 1.6tdi DSG.
Both running pimp diesel.
