Low-cost high pressure gear pump
« on: January 08, 2019, 10:27:54 AM »
Taken from a thread on VOD for car fuelling:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hydraulic-Gear-Pump-Metal-Pump-2000r-min-High-Power-High-Torque-Brushless-Motor/232971710826

50 bar 12v pump, 1lpm @ 2000 rpm.

I recall some talk about biodiesel reaction at high temp and pressure without catalyst, but googling doesn't seem to give any definitive answers on that.

I imagine a R/C style 120A brushless electronic speed controller would drive that quite easily.

Looks like you can buy a kit with motor controller and pressure regulation built in, but it's a bit more expensive (100 bar rated).
