Mono pump ID please?
« on: December 11, 2017, 10:02:47 AM »
This is local to me -

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302545503406?ul_noapp=true

....and i figure you can never have too many pumps, right?

But the M11 thing has me a bit confused - it looks like a standard MS, right?

I dont really understand mono part numbering.  Im not so keen on buying an odd-ball but if its a standard (easy to get spares for) then i would be much more keen.

Im thinking im wanting to speak the other corner of the trinity, right? ; )

M11 is a totally different beat to the MS and ML.  Stator and rotor are different and it has no coupling, instead it relies on the stator flexing more than the MS/Ls.

Not sure about the seal .... probably different but I managed to revive mine by lapping the ceramic faces and it's still not leaking after several years.  There's a gasket template on the wiki if you need it.

Spares are still available, well they were a few yeas back but I be surprised if the discontinued them ... phone Mono to check.

If the stator's not worn, that's a good price and you may be able to make an offer.

Do you remember that JAP unit that i purchased years ago?

(its still lurking in the garage - i thought a 4 stroke mono would be very useful, but ive never had to use it!)

Im thinking that is the same design, right?

Sorry, I don't.  Was it a bare shaft pump?
