Pump may not be a lot of use as it's 110v, but if the bidding doesn't go to high, this may be worth a punt for the enclosure alone!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280931606116?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

The flojet pump enclosed is a 4.5lpm diaphragm pump running at 24v.  So I guess there is a 110V to 24V PSU in there too - if you're lucky it might be switchable for 230V but wouldn't count on it.  So if you wanted to use the pump for circulating wash water or something, you might have to pick up a 24v PSU for it.  Nice pump though, can self prime and run dry :)

Mono pump ...

As I already have three, I thought I'd flag this up to stop myself bidding ...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221081529201&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123

Could be useful as spares or replace/repair the motor.

Mono pump guy got back to me about the courier so I'll be bidding on this one for spares for my current pump (can't live without my mono!)

Didn't win the mono...

Anyway - anyone know anything about these compact petrol pumps?

This thread has some useful links about the pump

http://www.houseofhomelite.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tech&action=display&thread=2052

Sounds like a right screamer of a pump that runs permanently flat out!

Just won this - might be good for drywash or general low-energy circulation (I'm still convinced that agitation helps soap settling).

This is the two stage version of the Calpeda pumps I use:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290759391155

All stainless.  Hopefully with non-EPDM wear rings but no guarantee. Seller says the company area code on the label is five digit so not as old as the one I had with EPDM rings (which aren't mentioned any datasheet I've seen so maybe just an old model?)

I would've bid for it myself for spares for mine if it was a three stager.

Psssst Keith... want spares for your pump?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300773588565

IIRC that's very similar to the one you got (but 110V).

Maybe Keith doesn't want it?  With a 110V transformer it'd make a cracking self priming mix pump - would be tempted myself but I've seen the bore of pipework needed for them and don't fancy that!

I would love to build another reactor with extra large bore and massive flow rates, that looks like it would be an ideal candidate at 149 Lpm.

It's "liquid ring" so self-priming in that respect though I'm sure Keith can fill us in on how well that works with veg oil.  He's got a 240V one and I've seen it in action on his old rig - it was impressive!

It looks slightly different from mine,my switch is on the back and its 240 lpm,i think mine is a AL model,it copes with veg and bio fine, feel free to buy it,should be a good pump

Mono up Chelmsford way currently at a fiver:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140847709936

Needs suitable motor to drive.
