On the scrounge for a 100 ltr open top.
« on: February 19, 2016, 11:16:33 AM »
As per title please.  Prefer something clean and I'm happy cut the top off an integral topped barrel.

One of my storage barrels seem to have sprung a leak.  I managed to catch and empty it before any major disasters.

I've been using it for 10 odd years.  It was pre-used when I got it, so it's done a fair turn!

Happy to collect if no too distant from Reigate in Surrey.

Kind offer ... thank you.

May I keep it on hold and see if I can source locally?

I'll put the word out around the common, it's the sort of thing that turns up regularly (until you want one).

There's no such thing as a nice Womble, they're all nasty smelly mangey things and will bite you when you least expect it.

Really 'orrible even on a good day.

Me, weird? I thought I was normal and everyone else was weird. :D

I've had some out, it was not too bad. It'll benefit from a good settle. It's been so cold here, I've had trouble getting even my best stuff through the filters.
Once it starts getting above 10c on average, I'll say it'll be good stuff. Roll on spring.

Thanks, Kieth, kind offer, but I don't think it'll fit ... you know how cramped it is in there!

I've got some 60L and some 200L, and I think I may have a 100L or 120L, I'll look when I'm at the field tomorrow.

Right can you tell me what size space you have available as I have several drums between 60 and 200L so I must be able to find one for you.

I had a measure up

16/17 inch diam x 31 inch tall
16/17 inch diam x 37 inch tall
18 inch x 25 inch tall
22-23 inch x 337 inch tall

any fit your requirements sir?

What service ... is there a choice of colours too?

The 16/17 inch diam x 31 inch tall should fit the bill just fine, thank you.

Are you at the field at all this week ... got a horrible suspicion I may have to work next week.

Happy to swap for good oil if you need it and if you are still after semi-solids I can probably find some of those too.
