My Bio after 5 days settling

Not at all, in fact your bio looks very good. Just remember that because it han't seen any water (the bio in your tank) it won't be dry. That is <500ppm. I'm not suggesting you alter your process when others don't dry settled bio, but just saying it will contain @ 600ppm water.

Hopefully it should be good. I bubbled it through resin beeds while de mething but for 12 hours. Not sure if they would be saturated by then though.

Have you shone a laser through the water to see if it leaves a trace?
Mine normally takes 2 to 3 days to settle so that there is no trace from a sample taken from bottom of my settling tank.

I haven't got a laser so can't try it. Which ones can I use? Just done another batch so that I've got plenty in settling. This one with two batches of soap in the bottom created plenty of froth but seems to be settling ok. I had the air line about 3" from a he bottom but it was turning over like bugger.

I use one that I use for casting a strait line when laying floor tiles. Normally about a fiver diy shops
