Fortunately I think I've curtailed his server-unplugging-to-charge-toys-instead habit.

I've had the odd problem with the VOD site being unavailable for short periods this last week - suspect it'll be back again before long though.

I couldn't sleep so thought I'd have a look on the forum only to find it's down. Not good.

Hmm yes and your thread on FFAs from the acid treatment of Glycerol was just getting interesting :)

Still find it a little hard to believe it is possible to order drums of sulphuric to residential addresses.

I think you'd probably do more damage to neighbours with the methanol whereas sulphuric acid is more likely to damage the person using it.

Hopefully I will do some more experimenting soon. I have U2Ud Carrington for his thoughts on my results as he does a lot of acid cracking.

Once I get it all clear in my mind and know what I am doing I will try to write a wiki article if you like.

Definitely - especially if you have success using it as a boiler fuel.

I think the testing you're doing is probably very much like those that experimented with biodiesel in the early days :)

I guess so. It's quite fun being pioneering.

Maybe the VOD forum went down due to the fallout from NigelB and Fuzznag's war of words  ;)

It all started on the thread about the saxo forum and the bad language. Then a new thread appeared from fuzznag about NigelB's comment but that got edited by RM and it was suggested they U2U each other. I suspect that some heated messages were exchanged.
