Answer to Julians question.
« on: April 29, 2015, 09:44:29 PM »
When I first started to post on Infopop it was really as a result of a member 'imakebiodiesel' who was always doing experiments. He is a really nice guy and is willing to share his knowledge with anyone. I couldn't understand why several other members used to belittle his results and really were quite nasty to him. It transpired ALL the other members were the same person (sockpuppets) and eventually (although it took some time) the forum owner removed all the trolling posts. However the member responsible for all the upsets (who had been banned several years earlier) was allowed to post again as long as he did this in his own name. That member is Tilly. He was never directly abusive but had a way of trying to tell people he always knew best. As for someone like me who is always messing about with biodiesel, well it was like a red rag to a bull. I didn't know this and couldn't do that. It had all been done before etc etc.

a few months ago Tilly joined VOD, when he started to post he kicked up such a fuss that after 2 to 3 weeks Paddy relegated him to his own section called 'paradise' I think that at the time he was banned off the main forum he was already posting as 2 or 3 different people.

I don't know if he has ever tried to post on here but I for one hope he never does.

Shame thing go that way was there no obvious reason ... previous history etc?

I don't think he's registered here, without an IP (assuming it remains constant) it's difficult to tell.  General ethos here is anyone's welcome to join, and debate's welcomed.  To date nothing has got out of hand and things have jogged along quite well ... let's hope it stays that way irrespective of who joins.

... but I was driven of by a pita known as Ant.

Driven off eh?  Can we invite him on here?

I remember Tilly.  But it is unfair to discuss someone's shortcomings without them being present to defend them.

I don't do cardies but do put a wolly pully on far more frequently nowadays, cardies could make me look like an old fart.
