Not surprised, you effectively self-branded yourself.  I'm sure there's a word for people that are into that sort of thing :)

Aye, that is pretty funny. It'd be funnier still if I wasn't currently nurturing a gaping wound on my inner elbow. It is drying up and healing a bit now, so at least it's heading in the right direction. I was starting to think I would have to go to the doctors.

My local MOT place has a pit and he is commercial.
When I asked why he doesn't have a hydraulic ramp he explained that if he did he would have to pay for LOLA inspections and testing every year whereas the pit has just looked after itself for over 20 years.

7+ years of making bio.
1997 RangeRover P38A 2.5DSE and 2001 Audi Allroad 2.5 V6 Tdi all on B100
Home heating and hot water system on Palm based B100 and Aarrow 7KW wood burner on glycerol logs

LOLER requires that a competent person carries out a periodic visual inspection.
No need to be a-feared of the red tape, he could do it himself as his job is inspecting safety critical mechanical systems; i.e. self-certification.
However, a LOLA test might be more Kinky. ;)
Brewing bio. And still not breaking cars!
