I need a 12 volt water pump, for water
« on: April 25, 2014, 09:31:44 AM »
As the title.
It needs to have a head of at least 25 foot, and would ideally pump 10 LPM. some pressure, to get a good spray pattern would be nice, no more than 3 or 4 bar would be required.

One would think it was a simple request, but there is nothing suitable on ebay. Plenty around the £50 mark, but that is too much money. £20 would be better.
There is one for £20 from China/Hong Kong, but I don't really want to wait a month, then risk it getting held up at customs.

I need to spray water based fertilizer on a steep bank, from the bottom. Idea is, a 25 litre drum with the mix in it, in the back of the van, and take the power from the trailer light socket.

Anyone got any ideas?

Well after posting that, I had another look on ebay, and found what I was after. Same as a £50 pump from USA, or a £20 pump from China, except it was £18.99. from the UK...........

My inverter isn't working. I really must get it looked at. It's being wasted.

There is a light on top that is on, showing a dead short on the output. When you switch it on, it hums for a second, and cuts out, then back in again, just like there is a thermal overload clicking on and off.
I haven't even looked at it. The guy who had the truck before me had hooks by it where he hung wet jackets, so that could be something to do with it.
It could be something as simple as a loose wire in the back of the socket though.
It runs off the auxiliary  battery, which should be a deep cycle, but isn't, but I could do something about that.
I'll have to dig into it one day. I'd probably find plenty of uses for it if it was working.

which model printer do you have again ?

after waiting over 6 months of mine I cancelled it and got a refund so I'm looking for another

my little brother just ordered one so I might wait to see what it's like... problem is he spent £850 on it, and I don't mind paying for quality etc.. but it's a bit steep for something I just want to mess around with :o

Looks like you posted in the wrong thread, however, I've got a Prusa Mendel i2.

I recon you could build one for around 160 - 180 quid, these days.

What printer did your brother buy?
