what year 1960?
great job you are doing. I saw one in a garage 2 years ago had't been out since 1964, i tried to buy it but was turned down. She said her son wanted to keep it.

It's looking most impressive indeed.

The line where you say ...

"Bit of welding, filling and spraying later (not by me)"

... is of concern as there's not much else been done other than welding, filling and spraying.  Are you one of the cheque book engineers?

Apart from stripping it down to the last nut and bolt, taking everything back to bare metal, treating the rust, stripping and unsiezing the engine and reb uilding the whole thing ---- your not wrong.
What have the Romans ever done for us?  ;D

Ah, I see.  Unskilled labour then, bit like making a Meccano kit in reverse.

All i can say is it started as a Lambretta and still looks like one, unlike someone i know who performs minor miracles with oil by turning it into god knows what! ( cue Jim )

Is that a challenge to a frame or two of Snooker?

I'll have you know I'm a reasonable player, I once came close to a 147 but alas I missed it by one ball.
