@Mark, considering I did four days of cutting, replacing and welding on that Disco last year, should get a year or two to get your welding skills up before they are needed.

I've found a small hole on the bulkhead inside the o/s inner front wing, nothing to big but something I'll get sorted before it gets to big.

What addjustment do you make to the pump, was it the one on top of the flying souser or inside it ?

With all the students lining up to master TIG welding I hope you have a good supply of tungsten.

The star wheel and rotating the diaphragm mate. If you take the top of the flying saucer (perfectly fine, only air in there no fuel) you will probably see the permanent pen marks on both the edge of the diaphragm and one one of the points on the star wheel.
I didn't touch the smoke screw or max fuel screws.
I left the wastegate on the turbo alone too. Whilst it's common to up the boost a bit on 200Tdi's, it is not recommended on the 300 (although can be done)

PS, is a flying souser a cross between a UFO and a liverpudlian?

@OakwoodTV, that thought about tungstens did cross my mind. I suspect that a lot will be getting dipped in the weld pool as all of us ham fisted amateurs have a go.

Thats how you learn to have a steady hand, you get fed up stopping to sharpen your tungsten all the time!

So you'll be bringing a bench grinder as well then.

Yep I recon so, most tutors appoint an apprentice for tungsten sharpening duties, but I like to do my own, no one else gets them right.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, do you really want your family exposed to a bunch of lunatics,  some running round in dresses, very late nights and drunkeness?

If you don't mind that then yes you're welcome.

Pm Chug for donation and directions.
