Code reader needed
« on: December 26, 2012, 02:49:51 PM »
Anyone close (ish) to heathrow got a code reader that will work on a 2001 pug 306 HDI,
I need to get my daughters plugged in as it's gone into limp home mode, changed the fuel filter and it's still the same,

Ps. £12.69 for a fuel filter from Halfords as it's the only place open today  >:(

Ha, ha, snap!  Golf went into limp mode on Christmas eve ... haven't looked at it yet.

Looked at it now ... it was the ESP light on permanently and presumably the ESP functioning permanently.  After a little rest on Christmas day, all seems normal just ticking over on the drive today, ... phew!   Will take it out for a run later when it's not blocked in.

Sorry that doesn't help you , Mark!

Panic over, my daughters mate is going to read the fault codes for me tomorrow.

Here's hoping it's an easy/cheap fix.

Well the guy has just been round and reset the fault,
it was diesel pump low inlet pressure, so it was the filter in the end.
