when writing a post or answering a thread?
« on: September 20, 2012, 06:40:24 AM »
hi all

just asking the rest of the site as to what you think when you click post after typing?

do you like it that it takes you back to main section and boots you out?

i quite like (pr maybe used to) it staying on the thread to allow reading it over again to see if it all sounded right or not? to do this i need to click back into thread and scoot through pages to see what i just wrote as it booted me out...

just a thought...

Actually this behaviour is a user setting in your profile, but it's quite well buried so I've updated everyone's profiles so the default is to return to the topic after posting.

If you don't like it and want it how it was, go to Profile->Account settings->Modify profile->Look and layout and uncheck Return to topics after posting by default.

Enjoy :)

Lot better. Half the pleasure of posting is reading your own literary ramblings after.:P

I agree, though it's a mixed blessing for me as that's usually when I spot all the typos and conflicting arguments within my posts! 8)

For me it does jump to the new post.  Are you waiting for the page to load fully after posting?
