With the rising price of Diesel it seems like a good idea to get back into bio; even though I don't use much fuel.

My bad news is I have discovered my Methanol has 'gone off' due to standing for so long. The SG is far too high.

Guess I'll have to buy some new. Then distill the old stuff.

I.42 per Litre at Morrisons when I last fueled up. Frightening.

I wondered what had happened to you, welcome back.

Ah Infopop, just a fading memory now. I just replied to a girl on the facebook group today who was having trouble with her bio and thought of Girlmark off infopop. Remember her?

Just seen your post re methanol,. can maybe help you out there if you want. The present fuel price rise is what we experianced earlier in the year with methanol prices.

As Diesel went down in price I didn't bother with the bio. I only use a small amount of fuel per week, so it was hardly worth the effort.
But I still have a stock of oil. Time to get back into it.

I do indeed remember Girl Mark (Maria, I think). Good girl turned bad from what I hear. Don't know the details though.

If you could give me a price for the Methanol and tell me where around York you are I'll arrange to come across and pick up 40 Litre. I have drums.
Visit my relations in Acaster Malbis at the same time.

Like most forums Infopop experianced a downturn in traffic. Coupled with this Bob would never deal with the troll on there properly. This also was a big reason for the shortage of posts. One day it was there and the next day gone, never to be seen again.

I think Girlmark was Maria. Very clever re process methods. There was a big thread on there about what happened, will tell you when I see you. I think Chug once told me she suffered from crohn's disease which won't have helped the situation.

Many thanks to dgs for the Methanol and IPA he supplied yesterday. Also for the cup of tea and the other bit that I can't remember the name of.

It was an interesting trip out.

A word of advice to any visitors, go around the South side of York, NOT the North side.
