Citroen Relay 2.5 non turbo
« on: September 10, 2020, 12:01:35 PM »
Hi guys,  bought a 2001 Relay "camper" van in the last couple of weeks, fuel gauge didn't work so I got a s/h hand from from a breakers yard, when it arrived I started to drop out the fuel tank, when it jammed I put my hand above the tank to feel the pipes etc and felt an inspection panel above the tank.. tank back up, out with floor carpets etc and replaced the tank sender, turn on ignition, YA it works I had about 3 gal in the tank going by weight and less than 1/4 tank by the needle, so I put in 4 gal of my B100 which showed it at 1/2 tank, "bet you wonder where this is going ?" so after a wee short drive the needle went up to full, I know bio is good but it's not magic.

Which brings me to my question, has any one on here drive vehicles containing the 2.5 non turbo engine on B100. is there any thing I have to change.. or is it the same as my Frontera, just put the stuff in and drive

Dave

On the Merc sometimes the gauge drops below 1/2 when driving, but when you park up and restart it's back over 1/2 and stays that way for a while.  Really bizarre.

So long as you know you're about to run out, that's the important indicator!

Sounds same as the Rexton.
