It takes air out itself.you don`t have to fill hose pipe and take air out..(that is enough when you put a bit liquid into suction side for first using time!!!)

I think what he's trying to say is...it self primes! ;D

£400, yikes.  I remember there was a seller pushing WVO gear pumps that were close coupled for a lot less than that (all China built though).
