BCB log
« on: May 19, 2013, 11:21:43 PM »
Tried one in the log burner this evening.  It burned about as well as a glog and lasted most of the evening ... I was quite surprised.  At one point it sounded like sausages frying!

I'll check the ashes tomorrow and see what's left.

Dug my way through the ashes this morning and there's no noticeable residue!  I was expecting a large handful of hard carbonised lumps, but nothing!

Appart from being even more messy, I recon BCB logs are just as good as Glogs.

I might have a go at another, but use a tetra pak instead of the carpet tube I used the last time.  A small hole in the bottom of the tetra pak should allow the surplus oil to drain off into a suitable container.
