Suggestions on structure

I think we should consider dividing the Biodiesel part of the wiki into subsections:

  • General information - what it is, what processing does
  • Collection and waste oil storage
  • Preparation - course filtering dewatering, glyc pre-wash
  • Titration and Methoxide mixing
  • Processing methods - processor sizing, pumps, eductors, single vs two stage, Methanol recovery
  • Quality control - soap, 27/3, quantitative water testing
  • Water washing
  • Dry washing - standing+filtering vs resin vs hardwood
  • Dispensing and biodiesel storage
  • Processor construction and safety

Maybe someone can comment on similar placeholders for WVO - filtering/FPHEs?

All up for grabs at the moment - we've got complete freedom of scope.

Another acronyms list may be useful or will the wiki format automatically link acronyms within the text to a page explaining the item or process?

Sorry folks I haven't been up to much the last few days as I've not been feeling to good, and I'm busy over the next week too, but I'll try and keep up with what is happening.

The old cbt was broken down into basic how to make bio but then had more advanced topics, it started with Dr Pepper batches, then making a small batch so people can get to grips with the basics, then got more complicated. As we see on the forum it's even more complicated for newcomers now as we have WBD, eductors, sqirrels, AAF so I think it's important to break it down to the very basics and then add the more advanced teqhniques as you get to grips with it.

Awww, It did occur to me he might be human. I dont think computers usually use an avatar.
If I'd realised sooner that he was human, I'd have posted something more provocative.............
