ULEZ BS
« on: October 12, 2021, 07:57:48 PM »
Trying to get TFL to be reasonable with biodiesel users in the upcoming ULEZ con (I know I won't get anywhere but still) and I wondered how does using 100% bio change the particulate matter and nitrates of oxygen over regular diesel?

Cheers

Vijay

Compared to conventional diesel fuel, use of biodiesel is generally found to reduce emissions of hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter (PM); but to increase oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions

Most types of biodiesel from esterified vegetable oils lead to reductions in HC, CO and PM emissions, but lead to a small increase in NOx emissions, with the effects getting stronger with increasing biodiesel strength in the fuel.

Sounds like you are on a hiding to nothing but it's always worth a go - you never know!  Good luck.

I gave up and now drive a very environ"mentally" friendly 4.2 V8 Supercharged 400+hp petrol vehicle instead of running on wvo.....

Why because the V8 petrol that does 11mpg is ULEZ compliant......

yeah I don't know either...

Cheers guys. Seems they are not ignoring my question of why they can use bio and be green but a car can't  >:(
