paint for a oil storage contianer
« on: November 07, 2013, 09:06:59 PM »
i picked up an outside storage container for settling my oil, it has surface rust and i'd like to paint it. blend it in with the shed ect, i already have some aldi paint so would like to use it up.
no oil should come into contact with the paint, as i'm thinking to pump the oil into it and gravity feed it into the reactor.

I think he probably means that the whole lot will be oil coloured before long.
I think most of us find that our best intentions of keeping things oil free become long distant memorys after a while.

i was thinking of pumping the oil up, about 3 mtrs. and letting gravity load the reactor, if not i will put a pump on it (faster)  so the biggest mistake i could make is to overfill and it comes out of the breather on top, i will be careful until i can work out a simple stop system before the big mess.
i think i have just answered my own question.

As guessed, i was thinking that, in order to blend it in with the shed, it would probably need to be splattered in oil and other crud.
