What have i done with the edit button?

Now im being really stupid
When i go to the "new page" from creating pages ,where is the edit button? cant see it even though im logged in,what simple thing am i doing wrong now?

No, I don't think you are, in fact I think you've flagged up an important issue.

I locked the new page a few months back because someone edited the page instead of copying and pasting the code.  I can't see the problem, either because it was me who locked the page or I'm admin ... I still get the edit tab.

I'm guessing that you'll get a "View source" tab and it's that you should click to copy the code for the page.

In the hope that this is the case I've altered the instructions in the "Creating pages" page to suit, but I'd appreciate it if you could confirm I've got it right now.
