Rescued from the skip today.
« on: August 19, 2013, 11:30:58 PM »
Was at work today to help some guys with a refit and overheard that a wall was coming down and this was stuck to it!

I am going to try and get some info on those contactors and see how it all works, I am sure I can salvage loads of bits for a processor control panel build, its got a decent heavy duty switch and 4 MCB's.

Oh very nice.

If you want a hand with how it works, I'm very familiar with these types of panels and can probably dissect it from a couple of photos.

Hi

I would very much appreciate it as I don't have a lot of experience with these. It was controlling the AC unit and a couple of fans.

If you post up a couple of photos of each section so that the writing is legible, I'll see what I can do.

I'm guessing the start/stop buttons were elsewhere are there don't seem to be any on the panel.

There was another timer that I didn't take off. Those are just lights on the front panel.

Those contactors would have 220V coils - great for you as you won't need a control transformer to power them. The blocks underneath are over current trip relays.

And they'll be connected in a standard Direct On Line motor starter configuration with a start/stop button.

The contactors NC terminals (15,18,21) will be driving the 'tripped' lights on the front.
