Well waddya know. Reverse the polarity on the rad fan motor, and it spins the other way. No need to mess with the fan. Dunno would they all be like that, but this one is. Whoopee, if only every thing else was so simple.

Dc brushed motors just about all reverse direction when polarity is reversed.

RM gave me some sight tube at the BBB, it's absolutely perfect - 15mm OD nylon which fits standard compression fittings - if he has any more bite his hand off before the rest of us try and nab it! :)

Ahh, the magic thingamajig, you definatly need one of those.

I assume you meen a venturi, this needs to be as close to the swept bend as possable,
so you will need to extend the lower pipe a bit.
Skoda Yeti L&K 2L TDI 150 CR DPF Adblue, running pimp diesel.
VW Golf SV 1.4 TSI DSG.

There's a lever valve in there now so just need to chop a bit out when the magic Venturi arrives.

How do I work out the litres on the sight tube.
Is it by simply adding a small amount of oil at a time and marking it off?

You can either calculate it based on a domed cylinder, or do it empirically by measuring our liquid.

If you decide for the latter (which I like because it includes pipe volume) do something like use a 100ml measuring cylinder to measure out 1l accurately into, say, a soda bottle, mark the level on that, then 10 of those into a bucket for 10l, mark where on the bucket it was, then you have nice 10l increments to keep adding to the processor.

I shall mark my new processor in 25l steps, otherwise there will be too many ;)
