Title: Pump extradinare
Post by: Rotary-Motion on February 09, 2013, 05:33:49 PM
have a look at this pump, it needs 1 and a half HP motor to run it, and is very heavy and maybe stainless steel not sure? could possibly be off a milking machine but unsure, is it wirth anything or could be used for anything?

sort of looks like a lutz bottom impellor? but where the water pops out no idea?

I have one similar in the store. It looks like a bore hole pump and they usually have a very big head. If it is a bore hole pump the water comes out of the top.

Looks like a bore hole pump to me too.

We just some Grundfoss circulation pumps delivered to work, they're quarter ton each and draw 30kW (each).  Puts my bio shed to shame :)
