Title: Biodiesel CO2 emissions.

Been doing a little research into winter running and came across this on wikipedia, based on government figures, it makes quite a strong case for bio made from WVO in terms of CO2 emissions.

is the first bar as they have written off the carbon produced in its production?

what i mean is theres no reason why WVO should emit about 1/5th the carbon of SWO otherwise

(i think the graph is slightly misleading in that respect)

I guess they are counting the CO2 produced before it becomes a waste product against the food it produced.

Err ... Grams of CO2 per Megajoule of energy produced.

I didn't compile the data, nor put the graph together, I just thought people may be interested in having a look.  I can only offer my humble apologies on behalf of the HM Government for any inaccuracies therein!

You're misinterpreting my question Julian...it was a general enquiry regarding the fact that the graph is not quite as clear as it could be.

Complete misunderstanding more like, but I'll put that down to the early onset of Dementia on my part!

Do you mean the quality of the graphics?  If so just click the graph and it enlarges to be quite legable.
