van passed me mot with an advisory of lower front end passenger side flexi break pipe cracking (it has 2x) top one been done to new already
and it was a class 5 mot as a minibus... what that means no idea??? think a car is class 4?
but as a class 5 rather than a 4 i get cjeaper road tax of £165 for 12 months, my car is £220 or something?
crazy really as the van is 2 ton and a 2.5 engine which would impact the roads / envirioment more harshly than a car would.

Always nice when its passed. Odd about the tax. I guess they could be thinking that the damage and pollution for a bus is less per person than a car. Or it could be a concession that was lobbied for by the transport industry, being as most 16 seaters are run by businesses. Anyones guess really.

Good Result Paul
I would leave it as a class V
Just one thing - does your insurance know it's a class V vehicle?
I only ask as some insurers see that as commercial insurance rates and not simple car type insurance.
