£6.65 delivered - wonder if it's rated for continuous duty (drywash pump?)

Got to be worth a punt at that price

My current drywash pump (diaphragm type) cost about three times that.  Still going strong after a couple of years though.

Got to say I'm dreading winter 2012, even this summer making bio has been an utter chore.  :(

Do you reckon that pump would push cold veg through a couple of 10" cartridge filters?

My circumstances have changed a bit lately and I'm filtering without mains power at the moment so it'd be useful if I could find a cheap 12v pump that would do the job.

I'm sure it would, they push a decent pressure. Flow is only a few liters per min though, requires patience. But they do self prime and don't care if they run dry.

We'll have one of them on my shopping list then  :)

I was only using a little 240v 300w commercial dishwasher pump which probably didn't push much more than a litre or two a minute anyway so I may even improve performance.

Sureflo pumps can manage 45psi which is nearly 35m of veg.  So I'd expect 20m at least.

Mine turned up a few weeks ago.....not sure what I'm going to do with it. I did think of mounting it in a housing and fixing it inside my boot and wiring it direct to the fuse box with a switch for re-fueling on the move.
