Hi all,
Please find below the details for Dad’s funeral, for those who wish to attend.
The service will be on Wednesday 11th February at 12pm noon, it’s at Chilterns Crematorium in Amersham. https://buckinghamshirecrematorium.co.uk/chilterns/
The wake will be at The Black Horse, Frogmore Street, Tring, HP23 5AZ.
There are public car parks locally to the pub, but the streets just a little walk away will have free parking.
If anybody wishes to stay, there is a Premier Inn just at the top of Tring, https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/hertfordshire/tring/tring.html?cid=GLBC_TRICRO
Nobody could accuse Chug of being the world’s best dressed man (he had to borrow a smart belt to go to court a few months back!), so please, we don’t want to see people suited and booted. Please turn up as you are, or as Dad would have expected to see you - scruffy is acceptable!
Thank you all, we are feeling all of the love.
Lynda and Mahli xxxxx

Lots of love to you both. Dom and myself will be there.

Myself and SWMBO will be there.
I’m not sure about en and Gemma, but will know closer to the time.

Just got back from Chug’s funeral and wake, we all knew what a special person Chug was, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how many people turned up to pay their respects.
Lynda & Mahli you have him a fitting send off, we laughed, we cried, we learnt things we didn’t know about Chug, but most of all we all felt the level of respect that everyone had for Chug.
Gone but very much not forgotten.

Very emotional and surreal yesterday. I still can't believe that he won't pop out of somewhere and tell you a story about a bit of machinery that he got for cheap!
Will be missed but not forgotten!

I go over and over it in my mind, tyring to make sense about what happened. Seems to be true that some peope are just too good for this Earth.

It was a sad day yesterday with elements of real brightness. The service was incredibly well attended...a real tribute to the man he was. Mahli gave a superb eulogy...a real brave thing to do. Hats off to you for that. The music was great...particularly the walk in track but also three little birds.
It was also nice to chat to people I'd not seen for some time.
Chug will be missed by so many.
RIP chap.
