Title: Economy of scale of biodiesel
Post by: WesleyB on December 14, 2021, 04:43:24 PM
Lately in Texas alternative energy , other than petroleum products is in the news .  I was wondering how much vegetable oil might be available for biodiesel , an alternative green fuel .  There is the food or fuel debate .  I think politicians have not consulted engineers when it is proposed to eliminate petroleum based liquid fuels .  With wind power , the wind doesn't always blow .  With solar power , some days it is cloudy .  With nuclear power , well ,  look at Chernobyl and nuclear accidents .

If we can hold on for another 10,000 years or so (when and if we become a type 1 civilisation Kardashev Scale)  we will be able to harness all the energy of the sun via our dyson sphere which we will build around it.

In your dreams.
