This year's BBB thread just in case anyone hasn't seen the other channel
-
Chug, with the other channel being out again can you keep us updated on here please.
-
BBB is Fri 31st July to Sun 2nd Aug.
-
Friday night for me with caravan.
See you all there
-
Friday night also - with a veg friendly friend a 4 kids. 2 Eurovans + 1 or 2 tents.
-
Friday midday for me, with caravan, son-in-law and granddaughter.
What Frankincaravan will you be bringing Pete ?
-
I got the water wheel part of the roaster finished last night.
By tightening the cones (wheel bearings) on water wheel itself I can put enough drag on the bearings to control the speed, the spit turns nice and slowly.
So I'll be bringing with me the copper for Andy, an IP for Chug, is there anything else I promised someone but have forgotten.
Julian, a reminder about the VCDS update.
-
has anyone got any hessian sacking they can bring for the vin burner?
-
I have a hessian sack that I’ll bring
-
And I will bring the fuel for the VIN burner.
-

Brake light switch is the first port of call for those lights.

Would any of you kind tinkerers have vcds I could borrow at the end of BBB and then post it back to them a week later or so? I'm after altering plug times on wife's Audi A4 B5 with AFN engine.

I'll have one available at the BBB if you can get the car there.

If any one has a drone feel free to bring it down so we can get some cool shots of our balled patches :D ;D :)

As always, a very big thank you to Lynda and Chug for an excellent BBB ... you two are stars!
As much as it hurts to admit it, Womble has to be commended for the latest version of his spit roster. Now solar/water powered, it ran flawlessly after only two small modifications and the roast he and the "catering team" produced was first class.
Thanks all for making it such an enjoyable weekend ... already looking forward to next year.
-
Big big thanks to Chug and Lynda, I don't know how, but the event gets better year after year.
I'm happy to say the Bio Buddies Bistro worked great, with 20 something covers of roast chicken or pork, roast potatoes, parsnips, peas, mixed veg, cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
With very little leftovers I think we got it just right.
Thanks to Ben, Steve, Steve, Edward and anyone else that chipped in to help.
Can someone put up some photos please.
-
Thanks Julian for the offer. I couldn't bring the car and didn't get to talk to you at the BBB on Sat. but will pm you.
Also big thanks to Chug and Lynda for organising the bash. It was really good to finally meet everyone. The kids loved it too. They think you are all weird but nice - in their words.
Thanks Mark for the lovely roast. The girls are looking forward to have the shower next year ;)

What a wonderful weekend, just what we needed, thanks to all those who made it a success, and as for the 2am sausage fests, I haven't laughed(cried even) like that for years, thank you all......especially Ed!
I finished my last beer mid evening Sunday and went to the fridge to see if there was milk for tea and was pleased to find someone (Arash I think) had left a couple of beers behind, cheers! and I also found some of Ricardo's delicious homemade ham so i also had a ham cob.
Mark, please tell Ben I have Mia's swim goggles, I am going to Hayes next weekend so I can drop them off, but if you need them quicker I could post them.
Now we need some photos?
-
sounds like you all had fun again. still shielding and trying to get in or out of Cornwall in august is a nightmare. we need pics.
-
Thanks to Chug and Lynda and all those involved for a lovely weekend, it was good to meet new people and the kids were fun! Definitely missed some of the regulars like Tony, Vince and Jules.
Ed is not going to live that one down for a few years hahahaha
Chug I left a couple of beers in the fridge for you guys in exchange for the goose eggs which were lovely!
See you all next year when there will be more drinking, more blowing stuff up and more erm.. banger antics!!
-
Thanks Chug and Lynda, we are truly lucky to have a wonderful couple like you as part of our group.
